My name is Junelle Cavero, and I am running for re-election as Arizona State Representative in District 11, proudly serving the vibrant communities of Guadalupe, Laveen and South Mountain (South Phoenix).

I come from humble beginnings, raised by hardworking immigrant parents. From a young age, I learned the value of resilience and the importance of education in creating opportunities for a better future. My godmother’s converted back room was my first home and the two-bedroom trailer was the roof over our heads my first six years. My mother's journey as a dental professional, serving Medi-Cal and Medicare patients, inspired me to pursue a path of service and advocacy. My father’s career as a Vietnam veteran and letter carrier union member, afforded us proper healthcare and the roof over our heads and the ability to send all of us to school.

As a small business owner, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges entrepreneurs and local businesses face. My work involves assisting them with strategic planning, acquiring grants, and implementing effective marketing strategies. This experience has reinforced my belief in the power of entrepreneurship to drive economic growth and to create jobs in our beautiful state.

My commitment to social justice extends beyond the business realm. Growing up, I volunteered with my family at a local food kitchen, where I saw the impact of community support in addressing the needs of the most vulnerable. Additionally, being raised by a Vietnam Navy veteran and a proud U.S. Postal letter carrier, I understand the sacrifices made by our service members, their families and the importance of supporting them when they return home.

During my first legislative session, I confronted the challenges and dysfunctions within our system while fighting tirelessly for the issues that matter the most to our district and our state. I was honored to serve on the House Commerce, Science and Technology, and International Trade Committees.  Whether it’s expanding access to affordable healthcare and quality education, combating discrimination, or promoting economic opportunity, I remain committed to elevating the voices of all constituents.

I have devoted my career to advancing equity, opportunity, and economic stability for working families.But I cannot do this work alone.
